Giovanna Manto

Transition facilitator

My experience and deep interests:

    • Education (Adults)
    • Leadership
    • Learning & Development

I spent my early career as an industrial engineer for large multinational corporations in both technical and strategic roles. This international experience gave me a multi-faceted exposure to the complexity of organizations and a thorough grasp of the socio-systemic dynamics that executives face in culturally diverse teams and uncertain business contexts.

Throughout the years, this development has fueled my passion to facilitate transformational leadership with unconditional regard and a thought-provoking style, naturally taking me to work with high-impact decision-makers who want to shift dysfunctional belief systems and narratives into expanded perspectives in service of growth.

Italian by origin, I now live in Amsterdam, after a number of relocations in the UK and the US first and subsequently throughout Europe.

Trained with the Co-Active Training Institute (CTI), I’m now prepping to become a Master Coach, working with my Professional Coach Certification with the International Coach Federation (ICF). I hold with distinction an Executive Master in clinical organizational psychology from INSEAD and a series of other useful practitioner tools and accreditations, such as the Leadership Circle 360 Profile, the Hogan assessment, and the Scrum Agile coaching, currently expanding my edges with meaningful spiritual work (Gita Belin, Aberkyn-McKinsey), and a certification as a Hatha Yoga teacher.

I love giving back to my community, coaching a volleyball team of young talented girls and volunteering as a transition dialogues facilitator at the international school of my children. I also enjoy playing marimbas in a local music group and sporting in nature with my beloved family and dog.

Transition facilitator

My experience and deep interests:

    • MOtivation and change
    • Education
    • Research

Early on I realised that my life purpose is to become a professional skilled helper. This awareness lead me to develop my initial career as a medical doctor.

I hold, with distinction, a doctorate in medicine from the Technion-Israel institute of technology with a specialization in family medicine.

Leading two medical clinics in a health service organisation shaped my client cantered approach to medical care. Engaging in academic teaching and medical research provided an additional edge to my profession.

Israeli by Origin, I spent intervals of my childhood living both in California and in Israel. The experience of living between two continents widened my view on life and helped me adopt a flexible mindset to change.

Later in my life, in the prime time of my medical career, I chose to relocate to Amsterdam where I live today.

The challenge to transform professionally reunited me with my life purpose once again. My work and life experience came together as I trained to become a professional counsellor and coach (ACC) and revealed my gift for evoking my clients’ motivation and promoting change. I then successfully completed a career pivot to teaching personal development courses, leading organisational workshops and supporting individuals through life change and transition.

I thrive to constantly expand my knowledge and have a wide range of accreditations that expand my professional tool box in the area of Focusing Techniques, Non-Violent Communication, Motivational Interviewing and Developmental Coaching Methods.

I find joy in giving back to society by volunteering to guide individuals in need of medical care.

I relax and revive when practicing meditation and collect moments of joy when I cook for family and friends.
